In response to the severe energy poverty in Rural Southern India, we, supported by Salesforce’s CSR grants, have launched Decentralized Micro-Grid Solar PV Plant to provide reliable electricity to marginalized communities. It is about making every rural village in India Energy Reliable and Resilient, strengthening the Energy Security, while offsetting 520 tonnes of Carbon and 524,000 kWh of clean energy annually.
Targeting villages with poor infrastructure and inconsistent electricity, this initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, driving sustainable development and community empowerment. Access to reliable electricity allows small businesses to operate longer, supports income-generating activities, and improves access to education and healthcare. By integrating renewable sources, these micro-grids reduce fossil fuel dependence, creating a resilient, sustainable energy solution for the future.
